Who Am I?
My name is Saboor Chaudry. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. I have one older brother who is an accountant, and my parents who immigrated from Pakistan, all here in Santa Cruz.
What do I do?
Great question. My top three projects may imply I am an AI Engineer or a AI software engineer or Agentic Systems Engineer. That was never the intent. As you'll see, my top three portfolio projects came from various problems I was encountering as I began to adopt the new modern toolset we've all become familiar with, and agentic systems or various AI technologies became the clear path forward for each one.

A lighter LazyVim config leaning on Obsidian.nvim, with light NvChad and mini.nvim experiments. Zed when I want a fast GUI with integrated, observable agentic capability; VS Code lately for its extension ecosystem and Codespaces. On iPad and iPhone, Blink Shell over ssh/mosh — increasingly a full editing surface of its own.

Out of genuine interest as much as obligation, I keep a wide bench. The daily driver usually holds one frontier agent — Codex, Claude Code, Antigravity (IDE + CLI), or GLM models in the Cline harness. A favorite has been the Pi coding agent on DeepSeek-V4; Grok's Composer 2.5 has genuinely surprised me, for better and worse; Factory's Droid gets occasional runs. I've lived in both OpenClaw and Hermes — and OpenClaw nodes against full Hermes instances are pulling me back with fresher eyes.

A bit of an Obsidian renaissance. On a hybrid-PARA vault, the Agent Client Protocol plugin turned the vault into a development surface — I can orchestrate multiple agents while I document, game-plan, and strategize in one place. With Dataview, the integrated terminal, and the vimrc plugin, it's effectively my own “Sab Neovim” — not Neovim, but what I'd build if I made one. Finally running the full plugin deck now that I'm off 8GB.
Dygma (split, tented) · MagSafe tenting stand · M5 MacBook Air 24GB · Mac Mini 16GB · Herder · Blink control plane
A split, tented, 10-layer Dygma — realistically four layers daily, though I reach all eight. Recently on a magnetic MagSafe tenting stand for flexibility. Bazecor for config despite its rough edges; I'm moving to an agent-assisted CLI that writes the profile JSON directly, toward environment-specific profiles that react to context. After a year living on ≤8GB (a 2020 MacBook, iPad, Raspberry Pis), I just moved to a 24GB M5 MacBook Air and a 16GB Mac Mini — a huge shift. Herder has taken over from tmux as my daily multiplexer, and Blink Shell on the iPad is a control plane across the whole fleet: Pi to MacBook Air to VMs.
